.India - Culture Smart! by: Nicki Grihault March 16, 2006 Although there were a couple of useful things to know in this book there were really no massive revelations. In my experience as long as you are a normal, decent respectful person with an ounce of common sense you will get by fine. I made a couple of social faux pas in my time in India but because I was polite people either quietly pointed them out - trying not to embarrass me - or found it all rather amusing. In a way I found with this book that it could make people rather paranoid about trying to remember all these minor conventions and social etiquettes.
