.Walking in Kent: 40 Walks Throughout the County (Cicerone Guide) by: Kev Reynolds March 01, 2007 I've done probably 30 out of 40 of the walks in this book, several more than once, and have mostly enjoyed them all. My book is in a very sorry weather-beaten state now ! The walks range from 3-8 miles are well chosen and well distributed around Kent so you can take your pick depending on your mood, location or of course the weather ! I have got lost on more than one occassion due to slightly vague instructions, but mostly the details are good enough. I take an OS map and compass with me on most of the walks, but don't use either very often. I have several different walk books (my other favourites being the "Adventurous Walks in..." series by Raymond Hugh/Morning Mist) and this is definitely one of the best and has given me and my various ... These outlines of treks throughout the Alps are exactly what you need for an overview of which treks where may fit your next trip. Mostly based on treks with accomadation with bed and breakfast, evening meal (demi pension in France) and picnic sandwiches for the next days walking mean you do not have to carry a tent or take a warm sleeping bag or food or stove. The author has very good tested suggestions throughout the Alps.
