What a little gem this is. I can't believe this passed me by (well it was on the radio so that's probably why). This is probably better than anything I have seen on TV for the last couple of years. I must admit that I haven't seen the HBO TV series and I'm not sure if I really want to because this is so good that I don't want to be disappointed.

For those of you who don't know, Flight of the Conchords are a real band, they even have an album out on the sub pop label. Though this radio series is a fictitious account of their attempt to break into the UK scene. I'd been thinking of taking up the saxophone for a number of years, but every time I went and looked for a tutorial book, I was put off by pages and pages of music scores and repetitive exercises.
When I found this, it was a real breath of fresh air. The book strikes a tone which acknowledges you are a relative beginner, but without resorting to a condescending tone.

The material is great, with a mixture of famous tunes and some original songs to learn to play.

The other really good thing about this particular book is that it tallies well with the pieces you need to play to take a grade (exam) in the sax. It meant that when I was taking my grade 3, I didn't have to go out and buy additional material to prepare.

Another reviewer of this product complained that the interview section with Charles Richardson isn't very funny - a reaction I simply can't understand, as these twelve interviews are simply the funniest exchanges I have ever heard. Gerard Hoffnung was just 35 when he died, but he sounds like a portly (and utterly mad) sixty-year-old, and his timing and instinct for the absurd are just exquisite.

A special mention to Charles Richardson, a totally straight American reporter, assigned to extract a meaningful interviews from this eminent musician and cartoonist but finding each attempt he makes to start a conversation quickly unravelling and thus being driven ever so gently to utter exasperation. This book is very easy to use with practical suggestions for planning and implementing music in the classroom. The range of songs provided on the CD are entertaining and lively, which have been very popluar with the children.

I actually purchased the cd version of this which is good because obviously you have no need to turn a tape over. Disc 2 goes through a brilliant meditation. His voice is very relaxing and I think it's one of the better meditations for psychic development. It also covers psychic protection which is very important for the beginner to understand when trying to develop in this subject.

This is my first yoga cd I ever bought after having lots of videos andbooks, I don't understand why Amazon don't sell it anymore cuz it seemslike a successful product. Anyway I bought it from soundstrue website at afair price.I've done the cd twice already and I love it, you have lots ofpossibilities on these 2 cd's of tailoring your own workouts which shementions in the nice booklet, you also get a beautiful big poster of allthe asanas in the cd's by their order.In these yoga cd's there are a lotof challenging poses like in the balancing track, but the overall feelingI get from these cd's is very relaxing, probably because of Shiva'ssoothing voice and the beautiful music in the background, but youdefinetly get a good workout at a moderate pace.It is definetly ...
