I finished the books last night for the fourth time (in the space of a couple of years...) and was in a cab going home. I kept crying and crying and felt so very sad even though i know what was coming.

The first time I finished reading the book I kept thinking non stop about Clare and Henry for days and days. This is the most amazing book I have read and very likely to ever read. It is the story of true love conquering everything and what amazing creatures human beings are! I can never recommend this book enough and I do so to everyone I talk about books.

Read it and you will be excited, happy, sad, enlightened.

Rowling has proved herself yet again to be a master of fantasy fiction in the second installment of the Hary Potter series. The characterisations initially developed in the 'Philosopher's Stone' are considered in depth by the author, allowing presumptions to be overturned, and the impossible to be considered. From the start of this work, adventure and excitement become codewords, allowing readers of any age to engage with the well written literature. Much recommended.

As soon as I had read the first page of this book I wanted to put it down.... forever. It is identical to The Davinci Code. But I forced myself to read it and in time became hooked. Dan Brown obviously researches historical fact thoroughly. However, he lets himself down with the action sequences which are, in places, ridiculous. I won't give the story away but planes cannot travel at 15,000 miles per hour and people cannot survive falling out of a helicopter without a parachute 2 miles up in the air. Also the action is very cliched and at times you are left thinking not only would that not happen but people would simply not behave or react that way. This all adds up to a book of two sides. I bought this after buying Schotts Original Miscellany, a great little book of random, possibly in the large part useless but interesting facts.

I have to say that I was disappointed. There are some good facts for sure, but maybe its just me, i'm not really "that" interested in the answers. And when you do get the answers they are often very scientific, which made me switch off.

So, if you like science I think the book will appeal to you, but to an ordinary Joe, the answers go far deeper than you might want. I want interesting facts I have half a chance of remembering and then telling others.

another brilliant dan brown book, grabs you from the first page,excellent characters,fabulous plot I enjoyed the twists turns and it was so gripping I couldn't put it down an absolute must read...I highly recommend it.

This books is far more than its title's amusing amphibology. It's funny, educational and very readable.

I work in software engineering and like many software engineers, I frequent the spelling and grammar checker. I frequent it regularly. In fact, my life would be quite tough without it.

Now in software engineering, there's nothing worse than looking at awful code that doesn't follow anything close to a resemblance of normal engineering standards. Be warned that if you are vegetarian, Dr Atkins says his diet would be too boring because you would have insufficient choice of protein foods. But if you're not, it's brilliant, and it really does reduce weight FAST with no hunger after the first few days. And despite what the scaremongers say, it *does* include green veg, and after the first fortnight it includes a wide range of veg and some fruit and is perfectly well balanced. Others have come along afterwards and you may find them presented in a way you like better: e.g. Nerys and India's Idiot Proof Diet is great and has a supportive forum pig2twig, which helps a lot. This book is good and different! You actually feel like an idiot for trying all the 'diets' out there that 'you will lose weight on!'.
The most revealing thing, that really shocked me, was Paul telling you about Ancel Keyes. He was a man who, during the 2nd world-war, studied the bad effects of 'semi-starvation' on people. They only were allowed 1500kcals a day - that is well more than the Kcals allowed in diets in magazines, papers and websites today!
Paul goes into detail about that which is very interesting and he gives you 4 steps to follow (eat what you want - not what think you should/eat when hungry/eat consiously & enjoy every mouthful/ Stop when full!)

Having read this book I should say from the outset that this method did not work for me, however, I have lent the book to over 5 friends of mine (Sorry!) and all have managed to as soon as finishing the book!!

I can honestly say that this is a very honest and well thought out method for quitting and am very happy I read it, because, ever since finishing it, whilst I haven't managed to break the habit... I have hated every cigarette since!!!

Well Done!! If your a smoker... Please try this!!!
