I found this Bradt travel guide more comprehensive and accurate than many of the Lonely Planet or Rough Guides I've purchased in the past. The author seems genuinely interested in the country and I enjoyed reading the funny accounts of his experiences - both good and bad. The Practical Information section is particularly useful (I did't realise I needed vaccinations to visit Croatia until I'd read this!)

Annalisa Rellie writes in a somewhat poetic style. She clearly loves this country and I really enjoyed reading the book. I learnt which places to visit and it has helped me figure out where to consider buying real estate in this new country. Thank you Annalisa Rellie and Bradt for a first rate guide. I do not agree with everything Annalisa writes but her erudition left me well informed and excited to visit each spot. I love Montenegro and I love the Bradt Guide. I can't wait to get back to Kotur and Sveti Stefan.

The Bradt Travel Guides are always useful. However, the Guide to Uganda (5th Edition) has proved to be very reliable.
Bradt can be relied on to keep there travel guides up-to-date but I also receive the interim e-mail updates and these are well worth reading. Subscription is simple, just send an e-mail to the author (Philip Briggs) or keep an eye on the website.

This book is not too bad though it is a little focused on the city in the summer time. If you visit in the winter then you will find many of the opening times incorrect. The history section is especially interesting. But, as most places in the old eastern block, Bratislava is developing quite fast and the information on eating and entertainment has many errors. It needs an update!
