When you find yourself being directed towards motorways that do not exist in you book of maps then you know it is time to buy a new one! The AA Road Atlas does exactly what it says on the cover - super clear mapping. The town plans are useful too.

No excuse for ever getting lost in Spain again.

This is a BIG fold-down map - ain't it always the way, all the 'key' places/roads/etc., are on the folds!

Seriously, the BIG format is un-useful if you're driving long distance. It's a PAIN to keep stopping and re-folding - buy a book.

Seriously, the BIG format is un-useful if you're driving long distance. It's a PAIN to keep stopping and re-folding - buy a book.

Most years we drive in different countries of Europe, and each time we take Michelin maps in this scale (1/400,000). They are simply unbeatable. Here is why.

* They are always up-to-date: On our recent holiday we also had Satellite Navigation in our car, and despite getting the latest Sat-Nav disc for Spain, this Asturias / Cantabria map was much more accurate; it had several newly opened roads that did not show on the Sat-Nav system, including major trunk roads near the new Asturias Airport, close to Gijon.

* They fold so easily, and tidily: You can fold and use them without opening up the whole map, with vast swathes of paper obscuring the navigator's view! Only the bit you need is open, and you can move to the next, ... Read More:

I've just received this map and my first impressions are that it's quite out of date, even though it was supposedly published in 2005. Trying to follow directions from the airport to a resort I'm going to next week, I notice the MA19 motorway is marked here as the PM19 and runs out shortly after Junction 11, whereas the directions say to turn off at Junction 20! Checking a Mallorca map online it's clear that the motorway has been extended a number of miles and that the name has been changed. It wouldn't be so bad if the extension was marked as a plan for the future as happens on most maps but it just ends here and turns into the PM602. I haven't discovered yet how many other roads on the island have changed. Can anyone recommend an up-to-date ... Read More:
