My first foray into Marian Keyes and I really enjoyed it. 4 quite different women and their connection to one 'charming' man and how their lives have been influenced - sometimes quite disasterously - by the connection. Not what I was expecting from chick lit ie quite hard hitting in places, plot not comletely predicatable, created a lot of empathy for the characters. I agree with others that the voice of Lola got on my nerves a bit - not really sure what she was trying to achieve here but this didn't really detract from the enjoyment as the story was gripping enough to keep me reading for longs stretches and so I got into the swing of 'Lola speak'. Would recommend for a beach read.

She contacts the sender, Katie, who lives with Stephanie's husband James from Sunday to Wednesday of each week in Lincolnshire, whilst Stephanie and Finn, their son, live with him in London from Wednesday to Sunday. Strangely enough the two women become friends and hatch a plot to get James back. The plot is going well and James cannot understand why his life seems to be falling apart. This will have been the last time I bought a Katie Fforde novel as hardback edition. Its predictable plot was not worth the extra expenditure and the sugary, dove-eyed cover illustration made we want to hide it. It really is a shame, but maybe I'm growing out of books like these.

I've read all of Adele Parks books, and thoroughly enjoyed them all. This book has a different pace to the other books, but again, I couldn't put it down! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who fancies a good summer holiday read.

Fantastic book, especially as it was set in the village where my great grandmother used to live and is buried in the churchyard of St Eigons Church. Once again, Barbara Erskine has written a wonderfully, descriptive story, enabling the reader to imagine themselves in Rome and Wales. I love her present day characters and how thier lives entwine with those of the past. Please hurry up and write the next book.I have to say my favourite book is Lady of Hay.

It normally takes me months to read a book but this one had me hooked within minutes; I couldn't put it down and managed to read it in just two days.

As with all of Jill's books, everyone ended up with the most suitable partner; getting there was both tortuous and a delight, although at times the hoped-for outcome seemed out of reach. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

As soon as I started reading this story I loved it. Maddox and Ashlyn are great strong minded characters.

I will not bother going into the details as this has already been done but if you enjoy other Gena Showalter stories then you will like this one.

I wont give a review of this book, as others have already done so - suffice to say - this book is completely beautiful. The characters are charming and Reyes' battle with his 'curse' along with his emotional pain with regards to his feelings for Danika - as well as her reactions to him - are almost poetic. Of the three I think this is my favourite, but you really do have to read the other two to appreciate it's depth and feeling.

Absolutely loved it.

The other reviews for this book are wonderfully detailed enough so I won't offer anything other than my opinion here. I read a lot of Paranormal Romance novels but it is quite rare that I feel compelled to write a review on one. Lately I've been somewhat disillusioned with the whole genre, finding most of the stories lacking or very 'samey'. Even novels from some of the most respected PR writers (Ward, Feehan, Kenyon et al) have fallen a little flat. So I was not expecting too much when I picked up Gena Showalter's latest. I have always been a lover of chick lit, Marian Keyes, Jane Green, love 'em all for a bit of light reading. So I've been eyeing the Sophie Kinsella books for a while and finally picked up 'Can You Keep a Secret?'...oh dear. Unfortunately I cannot keep the secret of how much I hated this book! Sadly I am the sort of person who cannot leave a book once I've started it and so I stayed until the bitter end.

I have never written a negative review (I would simply stay silent) so I'm very sorry Ms Kinsella.
