The guide book has a short description off places to see on Gran Canaria and that is okay - a little to short for my opinion. when you find a place of interest in the book it doesn't come with coordinates for the maps in the book. You have to search the map yourself to find it.

Eventhough its a thin book it's a bit hard to find you way around it - The setup is messy.

Descriptions off walks and and drives around the island are not very well described

The 2 stars are for the rating system used in the book. The author rates places of interest with stars so it it easier for the reader to choose from the places described.

I am just back from a holiday in London and would have been lost, literally, without this excellent book. It is a convenient sized book (20mm x 12mm) 215 pages, that is easy to carry, there are inside flaps to mark your place and the spiral binding is user friendly. But it's the useful information inside that counts. It is compiled in areas eg. "Westminster and the South Bank in a Day" and this sets out a suggested itinerary such as 9.30am Westminster Abbey, 11.30am London Eye etc. this gives you an idea what's in this area and how long a time to dedicate to the attraction. A small map of the area is included showing the nearest Tube and Rail stations for that area. There is a complete Tube map at the back of the book and also detailed street ... Read More:

This is the book to save your life in China - it really helped us to find our way in this fascinating and "different" land. The magazine pages were nicely written with enough facts to keep us interested and a bit of humour to make it all the more enjoyable. We enjoyed some of the walks and found the information accurate and up to date. The helpful hints seemed to have been written by someone who understood how challenging China can be for the first timer. A great little book and just the right size for those on foot or heavily laden.
