I was travelling to Andalucia and although know some of the area, definately thought I needed a map.
What an excellent choice I made.
The map is very clear and concise with very good points of interest etc.
If you are travelling in this area you would be a fool to be without it.
Guaranteed to keep you on the straight and narrow...if thats what you want!
But will aslo take you the the old traditional places where the tourists dont go.
I would suggest you buy this, you'd regret it if you didnt!!

I bought this book for a recent visit to Granada and to be honest I was a bit disappointed. A word of warning - do not rely on the maps in this book to find your way around. Granada is a mass of cobbled one-way streets and this book's maps were no help - after 3hrs we abandoned the car and found our way on foot after buying a cheap street-map. While the book does give detail of some good tapas bars it omitted to say that the vegetarian restaurant and tapas bar it recommends close at 4.00pm at this time of year. While I understand Andalucia is a big place to try to condense into a travel guide, I think that in this case the writers perhaps made it too concise!

I know it's terrible to pick on such things, but there were many, many misspellings of Spanish places, names, etc. It made me wonder if they were so careless about checking such simple things, what else did they not check?

I have just come back from a two week holiday in Andalucia and found the map most unhelpful. Although it kept very well despite rough treatment and wet weather exposure (plastic maps are great!) this wasn't any good to us when we got lost on several occasions! The markers indicating distances between places are confusing. Most smaller/tertiary roads and even smaller towns and villages are not even on the map. Most irritating is the absence of numbers on the motorway exits. Would definitely prefer a michelin map which we used with great success elsewhere.
