.Andalucia (Globetrotter Travel Map) Search: Andalucia from: New Holland Publishers Ltd January 25, 2008 On arriving at Granada airport, the carhire assistant thought we were pulling his leg when we showed him this map which has the airport some 5 miles South of the town, whereas it is actually some 10 miles WEST on a different motorway. On our way to Cordoba, our 2008 DK Eyewitness guide to Seville had a motorway under construction between Aguilar and Cordoba, and indeed it was well finished. This map (copyright 2008) does not even mention it. In the town map of Seville, the Museo de Artes Contemporaneo is shown as being by the Alcazar. It is not, but quite a way away, the other side of the river. We drove through the province of Cadiz where, admittedly, many new roads are being built, but this map was ... .Seville and Andalucia (Eyewitness Travel Guides) Search: Andalucia from: Dorling Kindersley Publishers Ltd May 02, 1996 I bought this book before I went on holiday and decided to take it with me. I used it quite a lot whilst on holiday and found it provided a lot of useful information. I think the tours take in a lot of small, interesting places that might otherwise be missed and found it very useful in Granada where it helped me to find the main places of interest very quickly. I also used it to decide where I would like to visit before I got to the area. I like the way places of importance have a plan, map and information. The layout is clear and colourful. .Andalucia Handbook: The Travel Guide (Footprint Handbooks) Search: Andalucia by: Rowland Mead March 01, 2001 A very detailed and informative guide book. If focuses on cultural things like history, architecture and sights rather than practical things like hotels and restaurants (but it does have some suggestions). .The Rough Guide to Andalucia Search: Andalucia by: Mark Ellingham, Geoff Garvey August 31, 2000 I can only comment on the section on Almeria region, an area which I have been to a number of times and which I am starting to explore more. I bought this guide to help me find out more and was pleased with the level of information on history, architecture, etc. However I was disappointed with the way the author dismisses so many places because they do not meet what appear to be his lofty criteria of 'old and untouched Spain'. Spain is rapidly changing and development is reaching into even remote areas. This should be accepted and dealt with more maturely. Guy's local knowledge of the area and use of both man-made and natural navigation aids makes the routes easy to follow. .Northern Spain (Footprint Travel Guide Series) Search: Andalucia by: Andy Symington June 24, 2005 We spent 4 months in Northern Spain in 2005 and took this book with us as a guide and reference book for general information. The only good thing I can say about it us that it fitted in the cubby box in the LandRover other than that we could have used it for loo roll. When you are actually on the ground, in the area travelling around and reading the book, you wonder whether the author has ever set foot there. .Carp, Barbel and Paella: A Guide to Fishing in Andalucia Search: Andalucia by: James Clear, Natascha Zinner 2006-04 We spent 4 months in Northern Spain in 2005 and took this book with us as a guide and reference book for general information. The only good thing I can say about it us that it fitted in the cubby box in the LandRover other than that we could have used it for loo roll.
