This is an amazing item, I have tried many diferent techniques to learn Italian and this is by far the best. I really do encourage you to buy this you won't regret it. The voices used are really good as well, they saying everything clearly allowing you to understand quicker. The music is also an added bonus it allows the words to stick in your brain faster, and makes the experience alot more enjoyable. With this product its not a matter of having to use it, but you want to use it. Fantastic.

This book makes the basics of French easy to grasp. When my 7yr old was about to start at another school that teaches French, I bought this to give him an interest. Just once or twice a week on the way from school and he is able to understand basic sentences, and answer simple questions, giving him confidence in his new school. The songs are catchy and easy to remember. He seems to prefer this to Muzzy which I also bought.

I am a BEd student on TP and have used this book so many times, the stories are so interesting and my pirate mad class of 7 and 8 year olds love them! The beautiful illustrations and a fantastic audio CD add to the magic of this wonderful addition to or library.

...except that you don't get to admite the beauteous Samantha. This really does sum up the feel of a live recording of ISIHAC, including Barry's rather smutty jokes before the show and Willie's brilliant asides. Doesn't get 5* because it does repeat shows previously released but does include sketches that were not broadcast. A typical section of the additional material: before the Liverpool show, Humph is bitching about spending 4 hours on the motorway: after the closing music fades out, he sighs and says "I think I preferred the M6".

Make sure you get the special edition, the one with the insert outlining the rules of Mornington Crescent.

There's no getting away from the fact this is pricey but it's worth it!
It's VERY atmospheric with really strong performances from an all British cast. It's NOT an audio book ! There is a central narrator, but every character has it's own individual performance/actor, there are some fantastic (& never cheesy!) Sound FX and subtle uses of suitably grand, orchestral pieces. I certainly can't imagine much better on the Radio back in 1981 - the WHOLE tale fom start to finish!
The beauty of this is that you can indulge your imagination. Definiteley one for a hot bath & the lights out! It's inevitable that comparisons will be made with the Movie trilogy & it is impossible to prevent Peter Jackson's wonderful images occasionally seeping ... Read More:

This is the first time Paul meets Steve, and she remains true to the character throughout the series. As Paul is a batchelor at the start of this story it sets up the detective partnership for all the rest.An ingenious plot, but with a few errors in time and distance, however these hardly matter. and the story is very enjoyable.

Roderick Alleyn, the younger son of a Buckinghamshire family and the star of Ngaio Marsh's novels is the perfect English detective. A gentleman, intelligent and not afraid of his emotions. In "Artists in Crime" he was introduced to painter Agatha Troy, and this novel sees their relationship develop. However, this is not a soppy romance set against a detecive background. Set during the London "season", society scandals end in blackmail and murder. As old friends are suffering can Alleyn find the culprits and get justice, avenging the late Robert "Bunchy" Gospel? Plotted to perfection, the murderer is well hidden enough to keep the readers guessing with out being completly unexpected. Marsh really was thye master of her craft.

Totally disappointing. Well, I have a different idea of "advanced Spanish". The whole CD is built of 2-3 min bits of michel thomas talking . It takes 2.5 min for him to explain how is "put it down " and "do it". Really annoying, slow talk. Advanced language is not couple of useful phrases put together.
I have wasted my money on this one.
