I love this book! I remember it from when I was a kid, (more than 30 years ago!) I have been searching for it for ages for my 3 year old son who loves books, and he loves it too. Not sure if it has changed over the years, but it's very much the same as I remember it to be.

This is a fantastic book for child and adult alike.Not only do you get really involved in making all the train noises but the child can anticipate what happens next - who Duffy Driver picks up at the next station, what they are carrying etc. The illustrations are excellent and my son and I can take ages on each page talking about what we see. He gets really caught up in the story and his vocabulary has expanded as a result of all that he sees through the book. Reading is so important for young children and with books like this, it becomes a pleasure for them!

This audio CD book, alongside with other Naxos educational CDs for children, is absolutely fantastic. It contains loads of information, so adults interest is guaranteed as well as children's fascination. It's a must for curious little minds. Presented in an easy listening format, it educates and enterntains at the same time. Boring car journeys became a highly enjoyable and educational experiences in our family since Naxos CDs were purchased. Being non-fiction, they can be listened to over and over again, offering a chance for the child to remember and/or understand more details each time.

This CD is wonderful. My eldest daughter finds it very hard to 'switch off' at bedtime & as a result lies awake for hours mulling things over in her head. That was until I bought this CD.

The soothing music, creative narrative & Christiane's calm & gentle voice helps her to totally relax, she is yet to hear the CD right to the end, she always falls asleep by track 3.

Can't recommend it highly enough!

I bought this CD in spring 2005 and I started to listen to it every day for the first couple of weeks. It really does relax you and the positive statements installed are retained in my memory and have helped me to be more positive, more confident and I have stopped making excuses for not doing things I have always wanted to do.
As an example, I was unhappy at work and I turned that around, I wanted to do something new outside of work to meet new friends and I started Martial Arts which I had always wanted to do. I'm not a great reader of biography, but I was looking forward to this book as I admire Rick Wakeman both as an amazing musician and as a quirky character. This book is OK, and has a number of of interesting and amusing recollections from Rick Wakeman's career but it is rather rambling and self indulgent. Whilst it gives a sense of some of the bizarre and whacky things that have happened to him in the course of his musical career I was hoping for something a bit more interesting than in depth details of his drinking habits which seemed to feature on every other page... Now, this is a truly wonderful production. From the moment you pop the CD into your player you can tell that this edition of Winnie the Pooh was lovingly made by people who greatly admire England's favourite bear.

Stephen Fry is spot-on as Pooh, Jane Horrocks manages to make Piglet both loveable and adorably selfish, Judy Dench is a perfect Kanga and Geoffrey Palmer is a wonderful Eeyore. In fact, the entire cast does a great job. The adaptation is very true to the original, playful and sincere. The music is lovely and captures the spirit of the books admirably.
