I loved "The Island" and as soon as I had finished it I ordered "The Return". I found the parts about Sonia really boring and couldn't wait to get the the Spanish Civil War in Part 2. I didn't think the book "worked" and I doubted if I would even finish it. However, I perservered to the end and found it all very predictable. After "The Island", a very disappointing read.

I first got a Rubik's cube when they came out in the early 80's and absolutely loved it. I used the first one so much that I had to buy a replacement within a couple of years. The action for these cubes was fantastic. 'Clicky' 'tight' but so easy and smooth to turn. Even though I could eventually solve the puzzle in a couple of minutes, I've never tired of it.

I was really pleased when they started to produce the cube again and was keen to buy a new one. I bought a new cube and was dismayed to find that the action and build quality was terrible. I actually dug out my remaining original cube to try and see what the difference could be and saw that the original design had little areas where the inner surfaces had open pockets or gaps. I'm so sorry to see all the people on here who were disappointed by The Catcher In The Rye. When I first read it aged 13 I was unaware of its cult status and so just had average expectations. Indeed at the time I only really liked the character of Holden, less so the book itself. Having re-read it twice since however (I am now 18) I can honestly say it's one of the best books I have ever read.

While I originally sided with the main character, now I'm able to see all his flaws and inconsistencies and love him all the more. As far as I'm concerned this is not so much a book for teenagers as one for anyone who's suffered from depression and disillusionment with the world around them. You will laugh out loud and you will warm to this writer from the start! It brings back memories of your childhood and all the sweets, TV shows and characters that go with it. I haven't read his other books but I will be buying them right away, and recommending this one to all my friends. Danny Wallace may seem a bit odd when you see him on the telly but this book gets you to the heart of a guy who is naturally very funny.

Georgia argues a lot with her best friend Jas, but she needs her friends to escape the madness of her house. Her family are interfering and an embarrassment to her.

The main character is Georgia Nicoleson. I sympathise for her, because she has quite a troubled life. She finds her family highly embarrassing and she doesn't like her friends to see them at all. She has a cat called Angus, whom is quite like a human to them, and the way that his actions are described is quite human like. I was deeply cynical of this book at first because it sounds a bit dipsy and the actions involved make you feel more than a bit silly, esspecially sitting down to be hypnotised. But the CD is quite interesting because it does change the way you think - even though it may not make you truly confident in the conventional sense. I think what the CD does is give you access to a different persona which you can fit into...you imagine someone you know who is very confident (choose carefully because this works, bizarely) until ones true authentic self (ego) emerges and develops. After a month or so I found myself somewhat more confident esspecially in job interviews for example. I have read all of Katie Prices novels and this has got to be the best one yet. After reading Angel I thought there could never be a follow up and be as good as the first, it was better that the first one. Very cleverly written and keeps you in suspense till the very end. Excellent

My partner and I have been so grateful to the friends who bought us this book! It really does contain everything you need to know, and has been very reassuring for me as someone who tends to worry a lot about everything! Even my partner has read large chunks (something he has not done with the other books we have). I particularly liked the step by step weekly guide which was incredibly informative. The photography is amazing and the narrative is very well informed (by properly qualified professionals). Buy this for yourself and your pregnant friends - they'll be forever grateful.
