It is indeed concise, but lacks many of the practical details related to travel, accomodation and tours which are found in the competing guides such as the lonely planet. I am glad I did not use this guide when I went to Bolivia last year. I particularly liked the separate boxes that covered a wide range of Serbian topics from Tito to Turbo-folk. The author's obvious enthusiasm for the country is also worth mentioning, although he is not afraid of stern criticism where he feels it is appropriate. Which was a shame. Being used to the likes of Lonely Planet and Rough Guide, I naively expected this guidebook to contain useful information; what to see, how to get there, how much things would cost etc. It didn't. There is less information in this entire book than you would find in a single chapter of a Lonely Planet. The whole book seems rather dated, and whilst there are little anecdotes about the author's own trips to the islands, there is very little practical information of the kind that a tourist needs.
