Found this pack really useful. It has helped me to get started on spanish and I have found the book gives interesting information about life in Spain/South American. Answers are all in the back so think this is a good pack if you want to start learning Spanish without a class.

Having struggled at learning Spanish for a few years, and not being able to devote a huge amount of time to it, it's important to make the most of the chances I do get.

The practice makes perfect series is ideal - you get loads of practice, varied exercises, and excellent translation sections, practicing translating a decent sized bit of text which is really helpful.

Pronouns and prepositions are ideally suited to this format, as there are so many different rules and ways to use these items that the only way to learn them is to get practice in doing so.

Highly recommended.

this is huge big heavy dictionary with everything you need! in this case size matters for those who study languages, a smaller dictionary or a conscise version is insufficient. you will be pleased with what this dictinary offers and there is also a cd inside to aid you. it's the real deal.

No worries,You will not sound like Mr Rene if you decide to learn French with this great course.

Yes, "Facon de parler" is a great french textbook and will definitely give you a decent knowledge of French by the time you ve reach its last page. The course comes in 2 volumes.. bringing up from level zero up a decent GCSE level at the end.It comes with CDs and self study guide..i would definitely recomment that you get the whole package, specially if you re learning French on your own free time.

what to expect along the way ?
a clearly structured approach of the terryfing french gramnmar... (serious.. it does make it easy to understand)

Found the book really useful as a simple introduction into signing for babies and young children. However don't buy from here go to the makaton website as the book is much much MUCH cheaper.

If you are looking for a comprehensive Spanish English dictionary then this is the one to go for. Its a weighty tome, so definitely not one for the schoolbag, but it really has got everything.

If you want to test a dictionary just try looking up some idioms, some new phrases, and some swearwords. This one passes on all three. It explains words so well that I've found myself spending half an hour just reading its notes on Spanish words.

Its miles better than the Oxford Dictionary, which is really only any good for American English.

I actually found this bok rather confusing. Especially when it came to the verb section. So much information not fully explained in an easy enough way! A much better book is the practice makes perfect series.

I'm sure readers at the time were spooked by its tale of ghosts threatening the innocence of two children, and the attempts of a quasi-hysterical governess to save them. It was that period of the Victorian era when séances and ghosts were popular, when spiritists promised to bridge the road between the living and the dead. People enjoyed sitting around a fire and sharing ghost stories, specially during Christmas time.

After reading many reviews - I chose this course and I certainly made the right choice. I have loaded the CDs onto my Mpeg 3 player and listen to them every morning on my way to work. As a complete novice to Italian, I now feel really confident about ordering wine and a meal (obviously the most important requirements). Easy to listen to and learn with no need to constantly refer to the book - although I carry the book with me and consult it when necessary. All in all, excellent!

I found this pack useful for the beginning of a french course. You can't listen to the CDs in the car though, you need to have the book in front of you, which I found frustrating. I wanted to listen on the way to work, so ended up getting free Podcasts to listen to - they were better than the CDs in this pack. Having said that, the book guides you through lots of different sections, such as food and travel, and the CDs have exercises on each section. In the book, there are transcripts of the CD interviews as well as paper based exercises and additional info like background details of France - although there are not many of these. The most useful thing I found about this course was the boxes in each section of the book called 'Info Langue' and 'Mot a Mot' and the verb info. I ... Read More:
