This book as absolutely A1.

For those who are serious about police work this is the premier reference book. All the information you need and small enough to fit in your jacket/notebook pouch/body armour.

Having spoken to regular officers this seems to be the stanadard reference work for both training and operations.

Buy the Traffic Officers Companion to complete the set.

I would particluarly recommend it for Special Constables (like myself) because it complements and backs up your ongoing training exceptionally well!

And if you're not in the police then it gives you a good starting point for knowing where to avoid going wrong!

This is an interesting look at the mob from someone who was a made member of the Cosa Nostra. Sammy the Bull Gravano is no angel and he pulls no punches, as he regales the reader with his tale of growing up on the mean streets of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn as the dyslexic son of Italian immigrants. A high school drop-out, Sammy graduated from local street gangs to the Cosa Nostra, taking a blood oath of silence. So much for promises.

This book is a series of taped interviews that are edited by the author, who interposes little analysis but serves to connect the dots. this book was a valuble resource. i would recommend this to anyone who is studying Criminology, however other resources were required as not all the theories were covered in this book.

Nothing much in Dope Stories that I had not heard or read before. Could easily be taken as Mr Marks cashing in on his success, but really who can blame him? All in all the book is well put together and a fine read. Perhaps the author would do well to get out on the field (I suspect he's out to pasture) and live out some more dope adventures. Nothing quite beats the cannabis smoke coming out of the crazy horse's mouth.Mind Bomb

This book has everything a die-hard forensic fan would love. It tells everything from the crime scene to how to catch the killer. And it has some really great pictures. It also tells what really happens and what people think appens.

I liked this book so much it only took me a few hours to read it from cover to cover.

From his earliest childhood memories, to his hatred for his mother, to his shoe fetishes and breaking and entering, to his marriage to Darcie (who it has to be said he worshipped), and ultimately to his lust killings of innocent women, including his macabre mutilations of their bodies after death, which eventually led to his 'bragging' confessions. It's all here, detailed, indepth and in black and white.
Ms Rule does not let down any of the true crime readers out there, and even though we may not of even heard the name of Jerome Brudos before, you will quickly learn to remember it!
