As explained in the other reviews you get a two CD set and an A5 booklet with this pack.

It's all been nicely put together for the beginner (this is definitely aimed at the phrase book/ tourist market) and the stand alone CD is a good idea.
However the main problem with this is the inclusion of Tony Buzan's mind maps - I just can't see that they are helpful in learning a language.

It's also quite annoying that he lays claim to teaching techniques that really wouldn't surprise Plato or Socrates! If you can get past Buzan's self advertising this is a very well put together set and will put you well on the way to learning enough to get you by on a business trip or holiday.

Tabitha Rose is two years and nine months. She loves a story at bedtime with her trusted teddy Charly.
I bought this book to take on holiday to help her to settle and wind down after a busy day. We have enjoyed it together every night since we have returned. Tabitha is my Grandaughter and she spends every Monday and Tuesday with us. Goodnight Moon is our final story at night.We enjoy looking at the illustrations and find that the changed from dusk, when the story begins, to the brightness of the moon and stars at the end sets the scene and mood for the end of the day. The little rabbit settling down and the young mouse are just right for this time.

As one who is convinced that Spinoza's monism provides the philosophical basis for all the sciences, reading The Oxford Book of Modern Science Writing and seeing Spinoza's view (that God and Nature are one and the same thing, under the dual aspects of thought and matter) confirmed over and over again was enthralling.

While reading it I repeatedly inserted markers into articles that I wished to re-read. In fact, I shall probably read the whole book again and refer to it repeatedly. What particularly fascinated me was the revelation that a quantum of energy appears to us under two aspects: as a wave or as a particle, but never both at the same time. This discovery accords perfectly with Spinoza's dual aspect theory.

I bought this book for my six month old and she giggles whenever Boris comes to kiss her! The book is great for creating interaction and we never seem to tire of it, although i'm sometimes unsure of who enjoys it the most, my daughter or her dad!

My father used to read me the chronicals of narnia when i was about 5. I'd put the stories, however to the back of my mind, like most of us do when we leave our childhood behind. Then a couple of years ago when the lion, the witch and the wardrobe film was released, it set off thinking about those times, years ago. This year, with prince caspian due to arrive in the next week or so, i happened to mention to my girlfriend, sort of 'jokingly' that it might be fun to re-read the books again. Anyway, i turned 28 last week and was quite suprised to open the complete chronicals of narnia box set, my girlfriend had bought from amazon. At first i was hessitant to pick up the magicians nephew. Reading this book is like being told about a great film by someone who saw it on a plane; shoddily related and in danger of ruining a good thing for you.
You know what it's about by now. As a science student this book appalled me - the writing standard is shocking. There's no real structure, quotes are miscellaneous. If you read the first ten pages you can stop, because you won't learn anything new after that. If I handed this in to my lecturers, I thought, I'd be in real danger of failing, positive thinking or no.
The worst part is that some really interesting ideas are presented here, they're just presented in such a frivolous manner! As if exclamation marks explain everything! It's infuriating, and a waste considering that a lot of people are discovering these ideas through ... Read More:

When I started this book it seemed to be beautiful, imaginative and intelligent. Unfortunately it became rather repetitive and irritating. The additional material - literary and historical was mainly interesting but then he talked about some rather odd folk who devoted a lifetime to wave patterns and sand dunes!!

I also began to dread him being near water because I knew he was going to strip off and jump in - not necessarily for a swim - on his winter night in Cumbria he got in and sat in the freezing water gasping up to his neck - why?????

I began to wonder what was the point of the book. It seemed to be trying to be something it wasn't, especially when compared with Mountains of the Mind which was excellent. I suspect it was the influence of Roger Deakin (Waterlog, Wildwood), ... Read More:

As a child the Paddington books were a great pleasure to me, managing to be both cosily conventional and yet utterly iconoclastic at the same time. To a child, the experience of watching an ingenue in the adult world is one with which it is very easy to identify. This was the great strength of the series. And now, after all this time, Paddington returns. So has time been kind to our friend form Darkest Peru? Happily, the answer is a very resounding "yes".

The book itself is a solid and heavy hardback and the illustrations are charming and of good quality, as is the jacket. Such presentation gives a good feeling about what lies inside.
