.Northern Spain Handbook (Footprint Handbooks) City Travel Guides > Books > Footprint by: Andy Symington April 25, 2003 I don't know what these people are moaning about. This is the second footprint guide we have used when travelling in the area and both have been excellent. If you need a guide to find the pyrenees, or to tell you the area is beautiful, then maybe you shouldn't bother going. I found it informative, interesting and accurate. This is the second footprint guide we have used when travelling in the area and both have been excellent. I have been 3 months in Namibia and I can say that this book covers almost everything in Namibia. If you are planning a trip to Namibia, this is nearly perfect book for you. Accommodation, transport, sights and everything else is described thorough (web sites, e-mail addresses, phone numbers etc). There is lot of background information about history, economy, culture, climate, people and wildlife. If you are looking for book, which gives you quick overview of Namibia or if you want to see excellent photos from Namibia, this book is not for you. Really well written with a realism and humour that isn't normally found in travel guides. .Libya Handbook: The Travel Guide (Footprint Handbooks) City Travel Guides > Books > Footprint by: James Azema November 01, 2000 I used this book when I was in Libya over xmas 2003/new year 2004. The book is great when you want to know about the history of the country. It has lots of in depth material and is well regarded by the Libyan guides that I met. However, it is now 3 years old and in desperate need of an update. For instance, I was told that the statues held in store at the Temple of Zeus in Cyrene are no longer there and that they have been transferred to a local museum (which has yet to be opened). .Tunisia Handbook with Western Libya: The Travel Guide (Footprint Handbooks) City Travel Guides > Books > Footprint by: Justin Author McGuinness 1999-09 I took a number of guides for my month long trip around Tunisia but found the Footprint guide to be by far the best and most informative guide. The author of this guide has clearly spent a long time in Tunisia and his obvious affection and indepth knowledge of the country makes interesting and entertaining reading. The descriptions of towns and villages are always concise and clear, and the historical accounts of the three countries and their regions are based on sound scholarly works.
