.Globetrotter Travel Guide: Corfu City Travel Guides > Books > Globetrotter by: M. Gerrard May 31, 2002 As the author of this book, I understand the two reviewers who said it was out-of-date. I wrote it in 1996 and since then it has been updated by other people, without visiting the island. It's unfortunate, but that is the way things are in guidebook publishing these days. The books don't sell enough copies to warrant paying an author to go out to the destination every 2-3 years. However, I have just been back to Corfu where I was researching the AA's forthcoming Spiral Corfu guide, and I have updated Globetrotter Corfu at the same time.
