I am just back from New York City where I spent 1 week with my partner for xmas. Quickly I realized the book was not helpful at all. You won't find any addresses in this guide. So basically, you will have no idea where the sights or museums mentioned are...You've got the name of the area (lower Manhattan, middle-town), but NY is a huge city and streets could be very long... No restaurants, bars, hotels or clubs recommended either (it has been very hard to find places to eat). In this guide, you will only find a brief description of the main attractions, with some pictures from the 80's.... To be honest I even wonder if the author has already been to New York?

I was quite disappointed with this map after reading the four-star recommendation which it was given in one review. When using it for a driving holiday in Andalucia, we found that many of the smaller towns and villages were not marked on the map, even on the more detailed maps which are included for different regions such as Las Alpujarras. All-in-all, the map is OK for general use but not for a motoring holiday - I am just pleased I had my 'Rough Guide to Andalucia' with me, as we relied on their maps to fill in the gaps on the Globetrotter map.
