.Bringing Italy Home City Travel Guides > Books > Italian by: Ursula Ferrigno August 16, 2001 I really like Ursula Ferrigno's style of cooking, and was really looking forward to this book after reading 'Truly Italian'. The recipes in this book look great, but there are a couple of typos (which are annoying but not that big a deal) and missing steps in some recipes (I've noticed two recipes so far where there are clearly some instructions missing). It should be said that you'll probably be able to overcome any mistakes and produce great food just as the recipe intended by using your intuition, but its disappointing that the book went into production in what feels like a half proof-read state. >>See More Reviews & Details on Bringing Italy Home |

.Verdura: Vegetables Italian Style City Travel Guides > Books > Italian by: Viana La Place July 08, 1994 I've been a vegetarian since 1985 and have phases of being pretty tired of the food I eat because of the "same-oldness" of vegetarian cookery writing, where everybody seems to copy everybody elses's recipes with small variations. This book is different. It's not written from the point of view of offering veggie recipes but from the point of view of how Italians use vegetables. The recipes I have tried have been delicious and inspiring and have got me using vegetables and combinations I'd never really have thought of using before.
