They are extremely useful, especially if you are visiting a city which you have not been to before. The information is usually bang up to date and the cover price makes these compact guides good value for money. I suppose it's fair to point out that perhaps students will be the most receptive to most of the content (clubbing, bars, eating out etc.) However, don't be put off - the Itchy guides are not particularly "just-for-students" publications, and there's something for everyone is this Sheffield edition anyway.
