This is an amazing item, I have tried many diferent techniques to learn Italian and this is by far the best. I really do encourage you to buy this you won't regret it. The voices used are really good as well, they saying everything clearly allowing you to understand quicker. The music is also an added bonus it allows the words to stick in your brain faster, and makes the experience alot more enjoyable. With this product its not a matter of having to use it, but you want to use it. Fantastic.

This is probably the best GCSE revision guide available - it is compact enough to be used as a revision aid, yet it is sufficiently comprehensive to enable students to use it throughout the course and to revise the higher level vocab and phrases needed to get the top grades. There is excellent and extensive use of underlining and highlighting of key points throughout and at the end of each revision section there is also a very useful and thorough test page to see if you are ready to move on to the next.

My only quibble, and it's not a small one, is that the lists of vocabulary are joined too closely together i.e not alligned and spaced out as should be standard in these revision guides. It's therefore difficult to hide the word ... Read More:

This is a very comprehensive and easy to read guide on basic grammar, spelling and punctuation. The text is laid out in a manner that is clear with pictures to demonstrate the wording. As someone who cannot remember being taught most grammar and punctuation, this has been the easiest to read and the most concise book that I have found relating to grammar, spelling and punctuation. I thoroughly reccommend this book to anyone who needs to re learn, to understand and fill in the gaps in their knowledge in this area.

This book is brilliant. As a home edeucator and having muddled through teaching my daughter French to GCSE level with a mix of inadequate books I was DELIGHTED to find this one for Spanish. We used it to take both of us from nothing to GCSE Spanish level in four months. It has EVERYTHING you need as well as a brilliant grammar section at the end - I am not keen on the current structureless way of learning languages. The only extra thing you need to do apart from going through this book systematically (out loud), is to download the past papers and mark schemes from AQA, if that is your board,and to get something for the accent - we used an old Collins Spanish (South American)Phrase book - and away you go. This book is absolutely fabulous. It contains all aspects of Italian grammar, and it answers the `why is that there?', `What does this mean?' questions. It is very simple to follow as well, and has a lot of exercises to help drill the grammar point's home. There are some grammar books out there that cost around £15.00-25.00 that aren't a patch on this cheap but very detailed book. It answers everything!

When I first started studying Latin I made the foolish error of buying the Collins Latin Dictionary. Having been bitterly disappointed with it from the very beginning, I decided I'd do well to buy the Oxford equivalent. This is worlds superior in every way. It is, of course, limited by the fact that it is a 'pocket' volume (I would imagine that a colossal home version would be able to offer a great deal more), but for general use it is very generous indeed. In fact, I will be generous myself and assert that it is a great deal more concise and reliable than many pocket editions of dictionaries that I have had occasion to use. I learnt more from the first CD than from five years at school. Without doubt this is the easiest and most effective way to learn French. I recently returned from France on a family holiday. I certainly had more confidence than ever before when speaking French.
You are advised to pause the CD and try things out for yourself before the students attempt it, but to be honest you can usually get there before them. I've used the CDs in the car and when out jogging, with no need to pause. If I had to find a groan it would be at the 'not so good' student. Sometimes you get the feeling that she isn't listening and is in her own little world. There are times when I think Michel is thinking the same thing about her.
