A difficult book to follow,i kept loosing the plot as to who i was reading about.Stadnick pops up from time to time and meets someone who knows someone else, and after reading 3-5 pages of them and their friends,family and what they have for breakfast along will come stadnick again and we are back to square one.
Maybe as i have only read it once i am the one with the confused disposition.If i was you i would certainly spend my money on ice-cream for your kids at the sea-side rather than on this as it would be more enjoyable!!

What can I say , a book that is written from the heart that gives you a true insight into the NOTORIOUS
SHOWER POSSE. I could not put this book down and completed it within 2 days, Yardie is like coronation street compared to this and the pictures that are featured allow you to feel like you really know the guys featured a must read!!!!!!!!

This is probably the best Gotti book available which isn't saying much when the main rival is by the same authors. It's a fairly decent book with plenty of information on Gotti and his crew but a lot of it is questionable.

The main problem with the book is that it's outdated. First printed in 1988 before the Gotti saga had ended or at least semi ended when the once named Telfon Don for his ability to avoid conviction finally was put away. This "updated" version is only updated with a few extra chapters at the end and they very much feel like they've been rushed and just slapped. Probably because John Gotti had recently died at the time and the authors wanted to cash in on it.

I have just read this book and thought it was a very interesting read.
In my opinion Mr Norval was the product of an indisciplined lifestyle and upbringing made all the more sad in losing the guidance of his father at a vulnerable age. He also had a perverse lust for violently expressing himself and making 'the quick buck'. There are so many youths today willing to make the progression from street thug to petty thief to serious criminality because we as a society glamourise these people in serial publications. The book doesn't really offer insight into the planning that went on into the many crimes that the XYY gang commited probably because Mr Norval would find himself back at the High Court and therefore it focuses on the crimes put before ... This book is an amazing insight into the underworld and the best book I have read since Till Death Us Do By Part by Garry Jackson and The Face by Garry Bushell.
Like all the books by Dave Courtney it is entertainng and a page-turner. A book so hot that it burns your fingers.
