This book was one of the best i have ever read. It was extremely informative and enjoyable to read ,towards the end i could almost undersatnd what it was to be a wiseguy. I could really relate to Henry Hills thoughts ecspecially at the end .This is a definate must read for a lover of crime stories or just a lover of books!!!! Truly excellent .I cant say enough and i was rather sad when i finishesd it .

A difficult book to follow,i kept loosing the plot as to who i was reading about.Stadnick pops up from time to time and meets someone who knows someone else, and after reading 3-5 pages of them and their friends,family and what they have for breakfast along will come stadnick again and we are back to square one.
Maybe as i have only read it once i am the one with the confused disposition.If i was you i would certainly spend my money on ice-cream for your kids at the sea-side rather than on this as it would be more enjoyable!!

This is a readable book which goes into some detail about things not covered in the original work. It also shows just what courage and dedicaiton Joe Pistone had in working undercover in describing some events he did not include in the original work. The book goes on to give an insiders account of the trials he was a witness for (and plenty for which he was not) and discusses some of the tactices the FBI used to ensure convictions. It also covers what became of him in his career after he was revealed to be an agent (and the FBI does not smell of roses here). The book was good, well researched. Kenny noye the story should be made into a film. As much as he was evil, he was also one of the cleverest, respected criminals there has been, especially when it came to making money. But main question, why on earth did he murder Stephen Cameron ? what did it achieve? here was a man who was rich, repected, women adored him, decent family and killed a guy over a stupid argument after being cut up on the road! Then gets life in prison for his troubles.

To be honest I bought this book blind mainly on account of the sleeve and how Pearson had described the character. But once I started to read it there was no way that I could put this down. What an extraordinary tale unfolded. A brilliant read from start to finish. No doubt some film producer will pick this story up; my only hope is that they don't let fantasy take over. I highly recommend this to anyone.

This has to be one of the better of the books about the Krays. It takes you deep inside the firm and you almost feel able to visualise what it was like to be in the firm or a target of the firm. It truly is an excellent book, I would recomend it to anyone who is interested in the Krays or just curious! ABout crime in the 1950's and 60's.

I was looking forward to reading this book.However within the first 50 pages,I found myself skipping paragraphs and then pages.There seems to be no chronological order to this book.One minute you're in the '50s then you're back to the '20s telling you about some neighbours' distant 2nd cousins cat!I was hoping to read about Billy Hill and Jack Spot but there are so many other names mentioned,together with their past(who are irrelevant to the story)that it detracts from the bigger picture.The book has obviously been well researched but it seems all the information was put in a barrel and drawn out lucky dip style!I wanted an orderly history of the events in their lives but this is anything but.I finally gave up after 100 pages or so.To be avoided!I ...
