I find the books very clear, colourful, and acurate to use and unlike some other books they cover the whole area, not just the towns. The index list every road and street so makes a perfect guide for finding your way around. .Ordnance Survey Motoring Atlas Britain (Road Atlas) City Travel Guides > Books > Ordnance Survey from: Philip's OS Publications July 10, 2001 Based on mapping data from Ordnance Survey, this atlas is (presumably) accurate and up to date. With a scale of 1 inch to 3 miles, very minor roads are omitted, but the result is a crisp, uncluttered and easily readable atlas. Eight urban areas are at 1 inch to 1 mile and 44 town plans are on a larger scale. There is a useful plan of the M25 and routes into London but it is irritating that, defying convention, this page is upside down. Another minor irritation is the gap between adjacent pages (with no overlap) caused by the spiral binding; perhaps the, cheaper, perfect bound edition is preferable in this respect but, of course, it could not be turned back on itself.
