This applies to all 7 of the Nicholsons waterway guides: The use of OS maps to put the waterways in the landscape context is excellent, and the maps are clear and easy to follow. They are the only cruising guides available which cover the entire linked system, which gives them a monopoly - an unfortunate position which the allows the publishers to rest on their laurels somewhat. Unfortunately, the guides are FULL of errors, often not corrected between revisions, despite many readers' letters to the publishers and a dedicated independent errors website run by readers, being freely available for some years.
