It gives an honest, critical appraisal of pretty much every aspect of the city, and while it plays to Vegas' strengths, you'll also see that it's not all roses. This is particularly evident in the architecture section and when talking about transport and certain areas between Downtown and the Strip. ."Time Out" Istanbul (Time Out Istanbul) City Travel Guides > Books > Time Out by: Time Out Guides Ltd August 04, 2005 Time Out guides are the best single guides for city breaks and the Istanbul guide is a case in point. Accomodation and entertainment listings are critical and comprehensive and the information for tourists informative and helpful. However the maps at the back could be more useful. Thne main problem is the link between text and maps: some of the main sights are not indicated on the maps, in particular those outside the city. ."Time Out" Turin (Time Out Turin) City Travel Guides > Books > Time Out by: Time Out Guides Ltd September 01, 2005 I used this guide to find my way around Turin for 3 weeks. I had an excellent time visiting its suggested wine bars, sights, sounds and museums. The guide writers had a cosmopolitan taste and certainly explored many aspects of the city - and it's really up-to-date. I would definitely recommend this guide to anyone visiting Turin (Torino). ."Time Out" Florence and Tuscany Guide ("Time Out" Guides) City Travel Guides > Books > Time Out by: "Time Out" September 25, 1997 I had travelled to Florence before, but without a guidebook. This guidebook was a great companion for my day trip, and would provide bountiful information for travellers staying longer. It had great pictures, great layout and was a great allrounder. A real rival to Lonely Planet guides! I would recommend this read to anyone visiting Florence. It had a pretty comprehensive listing of areas of interest in Tuscany too, which many other guides leave out. ."Time Out" Weekend Breaks from London ("Time Out" Guides) City Travel Guides > Books > Time Out by: Out Time November 27, 2003 I have to completely disagree with the other review on this page. Please don't let it put you off this book. Although I currently live in London, I'm a born-and-bred northerner so know relatively little about the countryside around London. However, this book has opened my eyes to exactly what there is to see and do when London gets too much for me. Having just returned from a wonderful weekend in Sussex, I can safely say that the recommendations in this guide are detailed, interesting, weell thought-out and above all entirely accurate. ."Time Out" Paris (Time Out Paris) City Travel Guides > Books > Time Out by: Time Out Guides Ltd February 01, 2007 Having been to Paris many times before, the need for a guidebook did not strike me as a necessity, but when I got this guide as a birthday present, I was most pleasantly surprised with how much I didn't know about this beautiful city! The information you get from it is comprehensive and thorough, and when reading it, you do not feel weighed down by a mountain of information, but rather a new sense of understanding, made easier to read by the writers witty and charming take on the city lifestyle. Well, I've used more than a dozen Time Out guides and would say this is one of the best. Visiting Hong Kong for the first time I held a set of images of the city, cliches which this guide actively seeks to challenge. Like most Time Out guides this book combines the usual useful information for orientation, public transport, sightseeing, accommodation, even recommended itineraries; and a comprehensive, thoughtful primer on the history of the ex-colony, life today and specific aspects of the city such as architecture and profiles of significant HK residents.
