This is a wonderful book for fans of Asian food whether vegan or not. I love having 9 areas of Asia covered in one book. The recipes are well laid out and very easy to follow and most of the ingredients are already in the store cupboard of those of us who cook Asian food regularly so there's no need for lengthy shopping lists - you can just pick up the book and start cooking. Lots of the recipes are pretty quick to cook too which makes it great to use after a day at work.
I've only had this book a couple of weeks and I've already tried 8 recipes and they've all been excellent - especially the Split Pea Fritter Curry - love it!

I find with many cook books that the recipes are fiddly and time consuming and usually demand a pinch of one ingredient and a splash of another, and before long you have a cupboard full of rare spices that you are never going to use again. This book however is simple to follow, contains ingredients that are generally easy to find in shops and ones that you are likely to use again.

The book gives ideas for breakfasts, lunches and snacks as well as main courses, and gives a real variety of dishes. I haven't cooked all of them yet, but they are all appealing and all things that you could happily feed to non-vegetarian guests or family members, as I have done to positive feedback!

I own both the Café Paradiso books and cannot rate them highly enough. It's true that few of the recipes are quick - they are taken from the restaurant and do involve plenty of prep - but the end results are incredible.

It struck me recently that whenever I want to cook a vegetarian meal, recipes from either book always go down well with my husband. In contrast, most other vegetarian cook books are compiled by women and the recipes leave the average man unsatisfied!

I love this book for being able to focus on a vegetable that's in season. I love both of the books for providing an entire well-balanced meal in each recipe.

This book is nothing short of FABULOUS. It is my bible. For all those who fear that vegan food has to be bland and uninteresting i challenge you to feel the same having cooked any recipe from this book. The recipes are diverse and there is something for every occasion. What i love about this book is that the food is high on taste but also low in fat and all the bad stuff.

The enthusiasm of Monty Don flows out from whatever he is doing at the time and there is no difference here in Fork to Fork.
Besides being a practical gardening book and organic to boot, and an inspirational kitchen guide, Fork to Fork is also a visual pleasure, packed with heartwarming garden photography that makes you want to rush outside and emulate.
There was also something else about this book that simply encourages you to take a deep breathe and slow down awhile.
A book that is simply delightful.

The good points of this book are loads of info on nutrition, simple to follow recipes, easy to find ingredients, and it doesn't rely much on fake meats either, unlike many other vegan cookbooks. However, being a bit more experienced at cooking, I felt it wasn't really aimed at me.

While it's certainly more of a book for beginners and is therefore ideal for any new vegan, there are still admittedly few things, though not that many, that might appeal to a more experienced cook.

I have only given it 4 out of 5, because there really should be a subtitle stating that it is a book for beginners.
