And I learned a lot about one of the founding fathers of the USA. The book is a charming and quick read. You almost are left with the thought of yearning for a few more chapters. .Moon Virginia: Including Washington D.C (Moon Handbooks): Including Washington D.C (Moon Handbooks) Search: Washington by: Julian Smith January 03, 2008 MOON guides are not widely available in the UK and are very much written for a US audience but in my view they are THE best guides to the USA. The authors know their subject, have real enthusiasm and humour and I have found the guides unfailingly accurate. THe introductions and background information on history, geography etc are always interesting and written by Americans for Americans they can tell you more than other guides aimed at an international audience. The maps are also excellent (unlike Lonely Planet) and you get a real insider's view of the area.
