.My Sister's Keeper Search: Washington by: Jodi Picoult February 15, 2005 It was the premise that intrigued me to pick up this book and the easy-reading prose that kept me reading. This book is rife with ethical debate and when it got to the root of the argument, I have to admit, I couldn't decide what I would do if I were in that situation. Is it right or wrong to `design' a baby ? Should you do everything and anything to save the one you love? Where is that line? .The Secret Zodiacs of Washington DC: Was the City of Stars Planned by Masons? Search: Washington by: David Ovason 1999-08 At last an intelligent and beautifully researched book on Freemasonry. David Ovason has done an excellent job in piecing together an intriguing mystery. Here is an author who not only understands the esoteric mind and the game of symbols, but has a wonderful ability to present his findings in a manner that is both exciting and lucid. A few mistakes here and there, but with so vast a subject, and so bold an investigation, that these are minor compared to the brilliance of the the general thesis. A valuable addition to my research library. I fully recommend this book. Robert G. .Mount Vernon Love Story Search: Washington by: Mary Higgins Clark June 01, 2003 This is the frist book written by Mary Higgins Clark. This book focuses on the love story of George and Martha Washington. The book takes palce in two timelines. It begins with President Washington preparing to leave public office and return to Mount Vernon with his wife Martha, who liked to be called Patsy. And quickly jumps back to periods of Geroge Washinton's youth. Trying to give us some insight on the man and his relation ship with Martha. A lot of research went into this book. And I learned a lot about one of the founding fathers of the USA. The book is a charming and quick read. You almost are left with the thought of yearning for a few more chapters. .The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Dover Thrift) Search: Washington by: Washington Irving April 22, 1996 First, a note on the edition. I have a copy of The Modern Library 2001 paperback; this is a handsome, compact volume, complete with concise notes and an introduction from a modern author. It is well bound with quality paper, and I rather like the classy illustration on the cover. The work itself is, of course, a classic, albeit - in the UK at least - a lesser known one. The title is somewhat misleading; to my mind, '... and Other Stories' implies a collection of narrative-based short stories, but that is not really what you get. Irving's original title and the subtitle here, 'The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon, Gent.', is a better description. The poetry of Rumi gleams and sparkles with meaning for modern times ... amazing as it was written in the 1240s A.D. The natural imagery used is always surprising. He never fails to capture human emotions and the human condition, using original and sometimes highly provocative but very 'on-target' terms. The subject matter of each poem is varied, although the theme of the book is 'work' ... it really is about much, much more than work.
