Being young and having only briefly covered WWII in history class back in my high school days i knew very little about it, other than the well known facts. That being until i read this book. Not only do you get detailed accounts of evaders but also of missions and events going on at the time. I now found myself contributing the knowledge into conversations. Some of the stories make you feel very proud and try and think of ways you can give people the same feeling when reading your biography in 60 years! By far the best book i have read this year.

Sitchin always avoided straight answers in his books, always being impartial, just sugesting...but in this (I guess, final book...legacy book)book, he is honestly answering on BIG questions, like questions about THE SHIFT and RETURN=INVASION of E.T.s and bunch a more things. This books summarizes everything he ever wrote in one big honest opinion about ending...to be more exact, a DIRECT WARNING about chaos that will reign soon. This book is simply brilliant and is written like an interview in which author is in the same time the interogator and the man who is giving answers...THIS BOOK IS A MUST HAVE FOR EVERYONE THAT "KNOW" WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN REALLY SOON...

A fascinating book that deals with each of his children in turn. It gives the reader an insight into why they acted as they did. It proves that really all four of them were neglected lonely people. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone interested in this period.

I've been interested in Ancient Greece and Rome ever since I was a child (Which wasn't that long ago), but I have never done a formal degree in the Classics. If I had studied the subject then I would have found this book invaluable.

It's basically a series of very short essays that cover every aspect of the Classical World, from politics and biography to literature; military; science and philosophy; art; food and drink; economy; law; geography; mythology; religion and social history. It also provides information on archaeological topics.

Of all the books on this subject.This one,is worth 5 stars,and more,all day long.I served in N.I,at the time the book talks about,and even now,I sit with my own thoughts on the things that went on in a time that can only be decribed as dark.And yes the Parachute Regiment did serve there,but its not about them alone,it's for all who took part in it.As one review said.!There was no beating of drums when the lads came home!And the politicians,have no more idea now,than they did then,of what it was all about.They expect you to do the job,with only three wheels on the wagon.
