This film was just fantastic! It's the only film i've seen this year and wanted to go back and see it a second time!!

My boyfriend came to watch it too, and although he's not really into girlie films he loved it as much as me, so don't be put off lads!

If you ever get the chance to watch it, do, you won't be disspointed!

Can't wait for the film to come out!

The best TV show ever, from season's 1 to 5. This TV show looks at many aspects of life and seems to get better the more you watch it. An essential buy for any fan.

Having been unimpressed with first series of The Wire, I only started watching this, the second series, due to the endless critical praise that I kept seeing every time I picked up a newspaper. And I'm glad I did. The second series of The Wire is a huge improvement on the first. The story is deliberately slow to get into its stride but nevertheless is compelling from the opening credits to the final fade. This is a high quality Police drama which shows the good and the bad in everyone; the criminals, the stevedores and the Police all have very human qualities, both strengths and weaknesses, and the divide between crime and order is a realistically hazy one. My entire family are huge supernatural fans and couldn't wait to get our hands on season three (already owning seasons 1 & 2 which we have almost worn out watching over and over). We sat down to watch this with great excitement which I'm afraid didn't last too long. There are very few good episodes in this. The Christmas one - please, why? Such tripe. The only episode that scared me was the prison one and even that didn't scare too much. The final episode we thought would redeem it but I'm afraid the ending is a complete let down. Obviously the writers wrote this in a tremendous hurry to make up for lost time with the strike but in all fairness I think they should just forget this version of season 3 exists and remake it again from the start. ... Take a close look at the cover of the season three dvd and you will notice something: Avon and Stringer, together in the same car, but looking in different directions. That tells you all you need to know about these two 'brothers' in season three of The Wire. Whilst Stringer is greasing palms to make the most of the properties they control Avon is glad to be back in the game, keeping control of the corners, and regaining his place on the street. Season three brings us back to the problem of drugs in Baltimore and one man's plan to combat the problem. What an awesome series; exciting and truly addictive. For those who criticise its historical accuracy, it is a FICTIONAL story, and a rather good one at that! Those who care about history will already know the truths, those that don't, does it really matter??
I loved it. My only criticism is that it ended where it did. Looking forward to series 2!!

This is the Coen Brothers back to their best, after a mis-step with Intolerable Cruelty and, frankly, an awful remake of The Ladykillers.
The pacing, script, acting, direction are all first class.

Many people seem to have awarded this just 1 star. That is a disgrace.

If you liked Three Burials, Michael Clatyon and In The Vally of Elah, this will be your type of film.

If not, watch The Jeremy Kyle Show in your underwear and have a pot-noodle.

That may be more your cup of tea.

I was disappointed by the whole of season 2. The story is so depressing, there are very few light moments. It's a real shame because it looks great and it's well acted but it's just depressing.

The best reviews are always those whose author is well versed in the subject ~ seemingly an obvious point but something that is all too often ignored ~ and if the reviewer also loves his or her subject matter with a passion, so much the better.

It would be hard to find a more poetic, seductive reviewer than this super sexy man, who is clearly first a Venetian and second an Italian! Francesco draws the viewer in like an angler teasing a fish until you are well and truly hooked!

I had visited Venice briefly, many years ago but at the wrong time of year ~ high summer (definitely not recommended) without undertaking any pre-visit research (definitely another big mistake ~ it is preferable to research any country but essential in order to really 'get' Venice) and ...
