This is a quite sophisticated device but it's very easy to use. It stores readings for two people and it can calculate weekly averages (up to 7 weeks) for each person. If you just want a quick reading you can use it as a "guest" and the reading is not added to its records. It can do an automatic triple-reading where it takes your blood pressure three times separated by an interval (eg 60 seconds, although you can change this) - after the three readings it reports the average. If you want you can connect it to your PC and install the supplied software. Then you can store your ratings online.

Wanting to get fitter but not spend the earth on fitness equipment I was encouraged by a friend to purchase a pedometer, while she had a relatively expensive one I opted for an inexpensive substitute. I have to say that while this bit of kit is not consistently the most accurate it is definately accurate enough for me to see how many steps I am taking every day (it sometimes counts a few under). If used correctly, i.e not swung about, then it is a perfectly good pedometer and a great item for anyone wanting to monitor their activity throughout the day....

If you are trying to lose fat then this will tell you if your current diet & exercise program are working! Unlike cheaper analyzers it takes readings from feet AND hands, rather than just feet. Admittedly it does not show body hydration and shows body fat as a % rather than a mass figure, but you can calculate the latter for yourself....and it is over £100 cheaper than the equivalent model from Tanita. Tracking my fat levels helped me drop 4kg of body fat over two months and I have six pack abs for the first time in my life (in my thirties!)
