. Silverlit PicooZ Helicopter
City Travel Guides > Toys > Cars- Trucks and Other Vehicles
from: Silverlit
Bought one of these for myself and it was quickly stolen by my 53 year-old father!
The helicopter is everything it claims to be. I've found that 20 minutes is usually all it needs for a full charge and you get about 8 minutes of flying time for that.
As mentioned in the instructions, running the battery all the way down WILL kill the battery life until the helicopter is no longer fly-able so that is something to watch out for.
As it's a two channel helicopter (one for thrust, the other for direction) it wont fly forward without some weight at the front. I've found that stabbing the nose with a pin with some blue tack at the end can make for respectable forward motion.
Overall great fun.
I'd buy ... Read More:

. Silverlit PicooZ Twin Blade 3 Channel Helicopter - TandemZ
City Travel Guides > Toys > Cars- Trucks and Other Vehicles
from: Silverlit
April 14, 2008
I'd been hanckering after a RC helicopter for a while, and one with at least 3 channels, and this fitted the bill on a special offer price of a little over 20 quid.
6 AA batteries are required for the control unit, from which the helicopter cahrges. It needs about 30 minutes for a good 10 minutes flying. Not pictured on the sales images are the two clear plastic stabilising fins which help it stay stable, but they do work, the front one can be removed when experience is gained.
Overall, after the helicopter is trimmed, stable flight can be easily achieved, but it does struggle near the ground as its own draft makes it unsteady. While the body is only polystyrene, its quite robust surviving many crashes into walls at hitting the ... Read More:

. Batman Dark Knight Stealth Batmobile
City Travel Guides > Toys > Cars- Trucks and Other Vehicles
from: Mattel
In all the pictures the figure of Batman fixed to the Pod. The guns sticking up at 20 degrees. But I made a decision which was any model of the BatPod was better than none. The Tumbler in this product is rubbish. Not only is it completely a childs toy, but it is a badly made childs toy that would break in minutes. The Batpod howevever is pretty good(from a collectors point of view) Its 8 1/2 inchs long, pretty accurate, well made albeit with a 4 inch long Batman figure attached. If like me you don't want to spend hundreds on the Mattel Movie Masterpiece version. This is a good second(for the time being)

. Tomy Musical Bubble Thomas
City Travel Guides > Toys > Cars- Trucks and Other Vehicles
from: Tomy
I bought this for my 2 year old nephew for Christmas and he is a massive fan of Thomas as well as bubbles (which kid isn't!?).
This toy doesn't move along very well on carpet and I read in another review that on wooden flooring it can get slippery so they could both be a problem perhaps, there is a little switch to stop it from moving around which is good. I also wish there was a switch to turn the music off because it can get annoying after a while.
However my major concern is that after a week and a half the toy is already broken. The minimum age for this toy is 18 months and children of that age tend to play with their toys abit roughly - perhaps this could have been taken into consideration being such a delicate toy. My nephew ... Read More:
