I have grown up with the Divine Mercy devotion and little concise books containing the overall message of Divine Mercy - only recently did I read Saint Faustina's diary through from cover to cover and particularly love to go back to it a few times a week now. It is important for people particularly today and a vital insight into God's unfathomable Divine Mercy. I personally like to open it randomly and in particular read Jesus' Words which are printed in bold. This book should be kept with a copy of your Catholic Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church to read perhaps even only a short paragraph every day or two. I found this book very interesting, the detail presented portrays the environment in which Padre Pio lived helping the reader appreciate even more his life. I ws completely absorbed in this book, and had to tell my husband everything that was written and that he must read it as soon as I was finished. He did. This book has changed my life! Our Lady, Mary is there for all of us, not only Catholics, whenever we are in need! And I am interested in going on pilgrimages in the near future!

As far as Padre Pio is concerned, this book "did it" for me! I mean, it really got through to me!!!
I have just got to say between Madame Thangari and the interpreter/Illustrator, they did a cracking job! You can see their senses of humour coming through. This is not a Holier-than-Thou kind of book, but a practical, down-to-earth book. It is the sort of book you can't put down even if you're not much of a reader. And to think that it is a real life story...
God bless them and Padre Pio for what they've done to my faith.
