.Sardinia GeoCenter Euro Map by: Mairs March 01, 2007 Ok, so it's a road/tourist map of Sardinia, but what makes these GeoCentre EuroMaps extra special is the rating system they give to cultural locations and scenic landscapes. This is really handy when you want to know whether to head for town a or town b for dinner or to decide if that squirly road on the map is the scenic road or the road to hell. .Sardinia (Lonely Planet Regional Guides) by: Paula Hardy May 01, 2006 Well, having returned from a two week tour of Sardinia, we feel rather let down by this lonely planet. This book provides some good historical information about the island, however it feels rather repetitive throughout and the space could be better used to provide travelers with the information that would improve their stay. Sardinia has some magnificent inland and coastal sights, towns, and places to stay, but the lonely planet took us to some areas of Sardinia which when we arrived, we sat wondering why the resort had been listed. We also found some absolute gems which were only mentioned in passing and had we not been willing to venture off the beaten track we would have missed them. .The Rough Guide to Sardinia (Rough Guide Travel Guides) by: Robert Andrews January 08, 2004 We found this guide very useful for our visit to southern Sardinia. As ever, with Rough Guides, there was a good variety of material - covering the obscure as well as better-known sites. Only quibble was that quite a few opening times seemed to be incorrect - we also had the DK Eyewitness Guide with us, and on balance we found their opening times more accurate, although we found the Rough Guide text more informative with (slightly) better maps.
