 Rating:  - What happened to my hero?Where was Phury? I can't begin to say how dissapointed I am in this book. I have waited patiently for Phury's story since he fell in love with Bella. I think Ms Ward forgot what a nice guy Phury was. If I was Cormia I would not have put up with him, even if I had been raised by the scribe virgin. He sacrificed his leg for his brother what did he sacrifice for Cormia? I must say though I love seeing all the old characters returning and it is always good to have new characters so that this superb series can continue. I enjoyed the end of the book but what is Phury going to do with himself. I always imagined Phury to be a gentle, possessive and protective hero. Unfortunately he was too busy getting high and worrying about ... Read More: Rating:  - Good but could've been FantasticWell, I really though Phury was the "good guy" all along, NOT! I really liked that we were able to see his struggles after his brother's torture but I really wish this book would've been more about him. The author tried to introduce so many new ideas to the Brotherhood's story in just this book that Phury and Cormia's story loses it's power. She even skips 2 months ahead in the story and gives us no idea of what happens with the lovers during the time. It's frustrating. There's also way too much about Phurry and Bella, P never gets over her but just replaces her with Cormia. Rating: - a bridge book
first off i loved all the bdb books except for number 4 that said this book is different but good. it took me 3 months to buy because of all the bad reviews. so lets clairify what had everyone dissapointed. 1. too much going on/ i personally like reading about everyone and whats going on and i cant wait for all their storys now. 2.not a romance/ sorry ladies but sex does not a romance make .this story is about two people with a boat load of emotional problems they have to find themselfs before they can find eachother. their story is not all wine and roses but thats life. alot of hard work and devotion und understanding. that is a love ... I love to read and just came across this series in August. I thought, "why not" and bought the first 4 books in the series. Long story short I loved, loved, loved the first 3 books. I fell in love with the BDB. The dialogue was amusing, the brothers seemed to ooze sexuality, and I'm not going to lie, the love scenes were what sold me. Zsadist, of course was my favorite and I enjoyed his story the most. The fourth book was Vishous's story. This is when things seemed to go down hill. I liked it. Didn't enjoy it like the others.
