This book, and its previous editions, has long been a standby reference for building owners, facility managers, and architects and, to a lesser extent, contractors.

The base cost information is broad, extensive, and detailed. However, this base information must be adjusted for area of the country, building type, and project specific productivity influencing factors. Each of these adjusting factors is critical, and cumulatively the adjustment can be significantly large - over 100% of base costs. This is too broad a range of adjustment to permit utilizaion of the adjusted cost figures with confidence.

I bought both Lonely Planet and Moon to be able to get a nice perspective on my trip to Costa Rica. Unfortunately the Moon handbook was not as useful as Lonely Planet. In fact, by the middle of the trip I buried this book at the bottom of my backpack. The only thing I found useful in Moon's guide was its maps. Other than that, I would stick with purchasing Lonely Planet.

.National Geographic Traveler: Panama (National Geographic Traveler)

National Geographic is well known by the quality of their maps & their awesome photography; and this travel guidebook it's no exception. It's very informative without being too in depth. The pictures makes you feel like you're there (in my opinion). This one can complement the Moon's guidebook which focus is just the opposite. Well put together. Highly recommended.

I never tire of looking through my Growing Fruit book, and find endless new things about fruit everytime I do read it. The subject is fascinating and the drawings well executed. I work in a garden nursery, am a horticulture student, and have a small garden of my own; helping customers with their fruit tree problems and small garden fruit needs is one of my tasks. Some people are looking at fruit trees for their smaller gardens, having never been able to consider them before due to size issues and the like. This is a small career investment I am glad I made.

In general this is a good book and it seems up to date. For Havana this book is better than the Lonely Planet and has better maps and more information about things and places to see. The downside is the size. For me the Lonely Planet book could have done the job alone and it was only half the size of the this one.

In general this is a good book and it seems up to date. For Havana this book is better than the Lonely Planet and has better maps and more information about things and places to see. The downside is the size. For me the Lonely Planet book could have done the job alone and it was only half the size of the this one.

This book was like a first-rate advertisement that helped me figure out where I'd like to go in a foreign country.

The pages hold a variety of images from a magnificent beach and napping monkeys to a lush jungle, or smiling villagers. After perusing the photos, I went back to the ones that caught my attention the most and then I read the information on those places... And that was how a good portion of my trip was planned.

Does this book have good info? Yes

Does this book have magnificent photos to show you the potential of your destination? Yes

Would I use it as my singular guide? No
