Fish! is a great book that teaches you how to have fun at work and make your job into something you enjoy coming to each day. It tells the story of a woman who goes through a transformation to learn this very thing from an unlikely source: the fish mongers at a Seattle fish market. A cute story and helpful book that has been used effectively in my company.

I do not have a lot of time because I am in a masters in education program so I will be short and to the point. This was a required book for a class, but I was quite pleasantly surprised to discover that this book is actually quite well written. Some parts are even amusing. As I said, not your regular textbook! It is also chock full of pithy quotations. Enjoy!

I am taking Differential equations for the first time as a college student and we are using this book. Previous to taking this class I purchased an old Dover publication reprint by Tenenbaum and Pollard, and read it over the summer.

Picked up this new book due to the homework problems and the fact that my teacher(if you could call him that) reads directly from the book.

Well needless to say this new book is "magical". They expect the new student to start creating equations on your own and they also expect you to intuitively derive solutions from these differential equations with no experience. 4. good regional maps for driving;

5. drawn or photographed areas for orientation;

6. printed plans of museums (with opening times and days) and identifying diagrams of detailed art works;

7. religious notes;

The authors attempt to teach differential equations in paragraph form. They define jargon with more jargon and supplement it with variables that they either don't define or define in terms so ridiculously ambiguous that they are impossible to decipher into English.



Here is one example from page 6:
"The pair of equations

dP/dt = kP for all t, P(0)=Po

is called an initial-value problem. A solution to the initial value problem is a function P(t) that satisfies both equations. That is,

dP/dt = kP for all t and P(0) = Po
