. The World Awaits: How to Travel Far and Well
by: Paul Otteson
January 30, 2001
I'm so glad there are books like this, The World Awaits, that tell you and try to show you how to travel overseas.
In fact, my greatest discovery overseas is that: "Beyond North America, the social climate is INFINITELY more natural and free flowing, and I am NEVER without attractive female companionship."
This book though, only gets into a few reasons for international life, describing only a few benefits that are at the tip of the iceberg. . Theo's Destiny (Worlds of Light and Fire)
by: Paul Otteson
June 01, 2008
I have just finished Theo's Destiny-
The characters were very enjoyable. The protagonist, Theo was likable and you really wanted to find out his seret past.
His very enjoyable side kick, Topper - was a bit of an enigma. Once I figured out that he was STILL a good guy,(despite unexpected powers, in a "side kick"), I then enjoyed just seeing what the two of them could get themselves into,( Hey- they ARE young teens!)
Readers who enjoyed Tolkin will find some of the peoples and creatures familiar. Enough differences are thrown in to let you know that even though similar, this is NOT Middle Earth.
My one critical thought is that the book is a little wordy-( but I say the same thing about Stephen King- hey! I like concise prose!) ... Read More:
