.RV Vacations For Dummies (Dummies Travel) by: Harry Basch, Shirley Slater May 19, 2008 I was looking for a guide that explains me how a vacation in RV is. Pros and cons, suggestions, how to have a nice vacation if you are new to RVing. In the first 30 pages they explain all this, then it's just a bunch of chapters with vacation ideas. I already knew where i wanted to go, and my destination was not included in their suggestions so this book was completely useless for me. .Frommer's Exploring America by RV (Frommer's Exploring America By Rv) by: Shirley Slater, Harry Basch March 31, 2008 I was a little surprised at the poor reviews this book got after spending a couple hours with it myself. I read the first 4 or 5 chapters yesterday at the bookstore but then came here to buy it. The opening chapters are not chock full of facts and great information, but they do offer some firsthand insights on beginning an RV adventure. If not purely informative, it was at least interesting, with some good info mixed in. For instance, the list of names and addresses where you can get reviews and lists of campgrounds in various locales, or the info about the Bureau of Land Management lands in the southwest.
