Book is well prepared to get first glance of how really the culture is and how one should behave. As i got a lot of contacts with Brazilians before going to Brazil, reading this book just confirmed the ideas i have understood from them. The book didn't surprise me but it definitely taught more details and confirmed my understanding.

This book was very informative. When I found out that I was going to Brazil I went out and bought about 6 different books about the country. All lot of the books showed the "touristy" side of Brazil without really informing you about what to expect. I flew through this book quickly because it was really interesting and informative. It really got me prepared for what I needed to have a nice trip while not putting me to sleep! Its worth the ten bucks!

Even though I am familiar with Portuguese, as a Brazilian expatriate in the USA, I found this book to be very useful. It highlights the cultural characteristics of the Portuguese people in a very concise and poignant way, and provides valuable insights into the culture, customs and mentality of the Portuguese people. This book is a great resource for anyone traveling, studying or even just traveling in Portugal, and should be on the reading list for anyone visiting Portugal.
