When I first purchased this book, it was for the simple purpose of trying to educate myself more on the concepts of how the millionaires create their success. While I was not disappointed in any way with the context, what surprised me was that many of the fundamentals written about how to attain prosperity are spiritually based. Robert has done a great job in explaining the "negative reality" his biological father had, as compared to his more trusting and "expecting success" friend's father. I am the mother of an autistic child and am extremely tired of people recommending her books to me. I have great respect and empathy for what she went through with her son but I think it is dangerous and irresponsible for her to be our spokesperson. Saying she has "cured" her son is somewhat like rich people driving through a poor neighborhood just to laugh at them. Every autism case is unique and there are many kids who nothing helps them. Her claims are the "autism cure" of the moment. Every decade there is a new one. Only one therapy is absolutely proven....ABA therapy. Remember that, parents!

I thought this book would apply only for older children, but I've found several techniques that already apply and WORK with my 2 1/2 year old child. I love the way the book is organized and I love how it really gives many specific examples of how to apply the methods to different situations.

I encourage every parent to read this book despite your stance on immunizations. Dr. Sears gives so much information about each vaccine and its components. He also gives facts about studies that have been conducted and talks about the lack of studies specifically about aluminum amounts in the immunizations. My daughter is 3 months old. I have decided to follow his Alternative Vaccination Schedule. After reading this book and other articles online, and talking with friends whose children had reactions to vaccinations, I feel that I should give my daughter vaccinations to protect her against diseases but that the combination shots are unnecessary and carry a higher risk of side-effects. The program Dr. Karp presents in this book was a lifesaver during the first three months of my daughter's life. We didn't follow his plan down to the letter (and Dr. Karp says it is adaptable for each baby's needs) because my daughter hated having her arms swaddled in, so we swaddled her arms-out and it worked like a charm. She started sleeping through the night at 8 weeks, and the four "S's" worked incredibly well when she needed help calming down. I really appreciated the fact that this plan helped us help her adjust to the world during her "fourth trimester" in a loving and comfortable way. People now tell me that they have never seen a happier, more content child than my little girl!

There is much in this book to like. The writing style is very fluid and catchy. It is a very easy read but also one that has the ability to stir up your heart. The first part of the book, at least in my opinion, shines the brightest. The second and third section are necessary to help us see what The Rebelution looks like but I was sold on the first part. The Myth of Adolescence and A Better Way are two really great chapters. These teens know their culture and are impacting it in a profound way.

As a youth pastor I made an effort to get this book in the hands of every one of our teenagers. We went through this book in our Sunday School meetings and most of the students liked it, and some were excited about joining The Rebelution. This book, or at least all ... Read More:
