I ordered and paid for this product, $56.79. Taber's Cyclopedia Medical Dictionary & Taber's Electronic Medical Dictionary CD-ROM V 3.0.
The "&Taber's Electronic Medical Dictionary CD-ROM V 3.0" is an "online" version only for the extra $25.00, I can access this feature for only the next 12 months.
Product pictured shows an "actual" CD-ROM.
This is misleading advertising.
Now I discover there is nothing else I can do except send it back, and I needed it 2 days ago for my daughters class. There is no place that I can find at Amazon to complain about this and perhaps obtain the "so called" CD-ROM.
Hey, if I'm wrong I'll apologize, but, what would anyone think?

I love reference books. I had an editing job that required me to have "15" so I had the perfect excuse to buy it. But what a difficult book to use. I had to check a few relatively easy things, and one or two obscure things. If the answer wasn't where I'd think it should be the book directed me elsewhere, an elsewhere where it was also difficult to find what I needed. It sure looks good, but....

This is one of the best college guides out there. It has a lot of great detailed information on the colleges including quotes from students. The number of colleges profiled is just right--enough to provide some options but not so many that it's overwhelming. I really like how Fiske shares which colleges are similar to the one you're interested in. That makes the college search a little easier.

I have to reinforce what others have said. This books tends to stress 5 star hotels and fancy restaurants. One of the entries for Dublin is to go to a fancy french restaurant. I can see having a pint in a Dublin pub as a thing to do, and she has recommendations for that. But for fancy french food, I think I would go to France.

Though this book has some great tips and is fairly easy to read, it could have been summed up in maybe half the pages the author actually used (saving many trees, of course). I found many of her tips to be a bit silly, and her lack of descriptive vocabulary (must everything be "simply to die for" and/or "gorgeous"?) boring. The list of fashion vendors provided in Chapter 4 seems more like shameless free advertising. Some of the vendors no longer exist, and many are quite expensive. Save your money and check out websites or the local library for more up-to-date advice, or start a green group to discuss alternatives to eco-friendly living instead.
