This was a great book, however, now that I have been using it a lot, some of the pages are just falling out of the book. The binding isn't great. But, looks brand new, works great for my class.

This a awesome book. If your not open to sources of enegry that our farmers can make so we can keep our money at home, then just write the check and send all you money over sea's. I have read the book. I also make some of my own fuel now. People the country is being strangled by high enegry prices. Who care if you agree with the authors politic's or view or history . You missing the whole point. We need to put our enegry future back into the hands of the american people . Your freinds and neighbors. Would you not like to buy fuel from your local farmer for $3.00 a gallon , then he finds out you lay bricks, fix computers, trim trees , pays you for your services . Nice review. My performance was pretty bad in the Chemistry class I was in. I prepped for the AP test for about a week or a half a week with this book, and then did very well on the AP test (the score earned college credits for Chemistry 1 and 2).

I wouldn't give ALL the credit to the book (my teacher was pretty bad which is more why CLASS performance was down), but I do remember it being nice to brush through things as well as to know what I really need to know for the test (versus chemistry knowledge which is not covered on the test)

Honestly, when I first starting looking at Orgo study aids, i looked at 'orgo for dummies..." upon reading the reviews for it, I saw someone wrote to check this book out...anyways the bottom line is that Organic Chemistry is hard...I started to read this book a few days before class as started...it really helped so far. It gives a basic understanding of things the professor expects you to figure out on your own. Some may say well why not read the text...the text did not help! A simply thing as being able to read or build a structure (first chapter) helps more than the text and the professor.

If you're serious about getting a good grade and understanding Orgo for the MCAT's or DAT or VCAT..anything of that sort this will help.

This book does simplify some important concepts in Organic Chemistry, but it does not cover everything you may need. For example, when naming compounds, the book explains in detail how to name skeletal structures, but it left out some important rules for naming cyclic compounds. It will not clarify everything, but it should still help if you are lost.
