.Access New York City (7th ed.) City Travel Guides > Books > Access Guides by: Richard Saul Wurman 1996-05 I have always loved the format of ACCESS books but to be honest, the last 3 guides to NYC have been very outdated. I feel as if the author has told a flunkie to "check the websites" of all the places listed in the book, and that the flunkie then quit his job and the author just published the edition from 10 years ago. I cannot continue to purchase the Access books knowing this is the case. I wonder if the author reads his own reviews on Amazon (I kind of doubt it). City Travel Guides > Books > Access Guides by: Richard Saul Wurman 1996-06 When my friend and I went to France for the first time, we decided that our trip would consist almost totally of Paris, which has so must to see that it deserves about two weeks in itself. When the time came to start looking for guidebooks, by coincidence a letter writer in a travel magazine raved about this Access edition, so I picked it up. I wasn't disappointed. If you're only spending a few days it isn't a good choice - you'll only be dealing with must-sees like the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame anyway. It is ideal, though, if your're staying for 2 weeks or longer, sectioning off neighborhoods of the city into chunks that are tourable in a day. .Access Cape Cod Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket (2nd ed) City Travel Guides > Books > Access Guides by: Richard Saul Wurman 1996-04 Fairly decent guide book, but somewhat overpriced for a paperback. The inclusion of logos from some establishments makes me wonder if their reviews have been skewed by a monetary inducement to the author... It is well organized, easy to read, gives great walking tours and information on every section of the city. It is well organized, easy to read, gives great walking tours and information on every section of the city.
