Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace . . . One School at a Time

Greg Mortenson has set a bar so high that it is beyond the reach of most of us. However, as a female Geography teacher, for many years I have explained to my students every semester that one of the biggest problems in the world today is the lack of educational opportunities for females. Thank you, Greg, for helping to alleviate that problem. Also, as a Geography teacher, I particularly appreciated the incredible descriptions of places I will never be able to visit. Thank you David Relin. This is a fabulous book.

I bought this book for my daughter who is 12. She loves it. I'm not sure yet what she has learned from it but I can say that I often find her laying on her bed or couch and just reading away. I am interested to see how much it helps her this year in math.

have to do a lot of reading but the book does a
good job explaining concepts. The CD that
comes with the book is awesome for testing
your knowledge. If I may suggest something that
has helped my studies greatly, a little book called
Don't Like to Read, Then Don't, Listen!: How to
Turn Any Type of Text Into Audio Files That Can
Be Read to You!. I know that many students out
there are like me and would rather listen to
material than have to read it themselves. I use

This is a great resource. It gives many examples of how to impliment the program. One thing I really like about Words Their Way is the fact that is hands on. This will really help my students who are more concrete thinkers.

Very handy with the hints and tips and study notes, but there are a few typos and mistakes in the book, which can get really annoying when you think you have gotten a question right, you look at the answer and it says it is wrong because Kaplan made a mistake.

Also why do some of the answers tell you to use a calculator? or check with a calculator, the whole point of the book is to learn with out the use of a calculator

But i would recommend buying the book, because it is a great layout, plan and the questions in the study notes are so helpful.

Rita's PMP Exam Prep book is all you need to pass the exam. But you need to know if backward and forward. Highlight and scribble all over this book as you go through it. I never read the tedious PMBOK guide, but instead went straight to this book to do my studying. The test questions at the end of the chapters are similar to what you would expect on the exam. I did also buy PM FASTrack:PMP Exam Simulation Software when I felt I was getting close to ready. The software isn't a must-have if you are on a tight budget - but it certainly will make your life easier. It is important to take a "real environment" simulated exam several times before the real day. This is because the PMP exam will take you the 4 full hours.
