Tim Ferriss hits the nail on the head with his ideas and approach to living life. We all get into the habit of thinking we should work 8 hours a day and sleep 8 hours a day, folks.............thats two thirds or 66% of your life, sleeping and banging away at a computer in a tiny cramped little cubicle, its disgusting. Break the habit, break free and live the life you are supposed to be living, the life you can live. Find a niche business, start a little online company, follow Tims advice and start building an automated life. Working is the WORST way to make money. If it is your intent to use your Kindle as a Google web browser, this is for you. If not, save your money, even if it is only $2. I use an Iphone.
I have full web browser portability, send email, text message, etc. I haver no use for my Kindle in those tasks. I bought this text hoping to get more information on the toggling functions of the unit. No such luck!
From this paper, I learned: How to view the time on the Kindle; how to use the ALT/x key functions for various duties but those are covered in the miniscule manual included with the Kindle; and I learned how to better secure the kindle into it's jacket. As a life-longer learner and literature major, I have spent years laboring over difficult, verbose, dry and authoritative texts that define and discuss literary symbolism. Reading too much deconstruction theory and word-specific analysis feels like getting so close to the words with a magnifying glass that the meaning of the words and sometimes the words themselves can no longer be deciphered. These tomes take seriousness to an exaggerated level, speaking down to the reader from great heights, perhaps the same heights Thomas Foster uses as an example from The Garden Party in How To Read Literature Like a Professor.

This book, obviously, is massive. I personally did not find almost anything in the whole of the book, very helpful. It is so wordy and vague at parts that it is very easy to lose interest. I highly suggest one of the test prep companies SAT books. I have ones from Kaplan and Barron's and they are much, much more helpful, and are more to the point.

The first copy I got of this book had a lot of typos in it. For example, one of the values in a math problem read "28" instead of "2^8".

There was another math example where they printed "=" instead of "-", which made the explanation incoherent.

I was feed up when they misprinted the Pythagorean Theorem: a2 + b^2 = c^2 instead of a^2 + b^2 = c^2.

I thought to myself, if I'm catching all these typos, I wonder which ones am I missing. Luckily, I was able to exchange my copy for a typo free copy. There were 6 copies of this book on the shelf at my local Barnes & Nobles, 5 of them contained typos like my first copy. So beware...

I have only had this product for a few weeks, but I have already discovered some criticisms.

One major criticism is the CD-ROM seems dated. The disc lists "version 1.0" and you can tell that the disc is 1.0. The copyright on the program is 2004! While the sample tests appear to simulate the test environment very well they don't contain the any of the fill in the blank questions that have been added to the GRE. While they aren't a big part of the exam you would figure that if this is the "2009" edition of this book that the CD would fully prepare you for the test that students taking the exam in 2008 might take.

Needless to say this disc doesn't seem to work properly under Windows Vista much like the feedback I read on last ... Read More:

This is a great pocket resource for both medical students and residents. The pages now have titles across each page and sections are broken down into individual subjects as compared to the previous (blue) version.

This is a wonderful book, but you have to buy it new! There's a code on the inside for the strengths quiz, and you cannot reuse the code. I had to buy StrengthsFinder 2.0--the new version--in order to get the quiz without repurchansing the same exact book twice.

It would have been nice to know this....

I am grateful to all the reviewers that tried to save money and anxiety and anger for other people or potential readers of this book, by advising against buying it. I find all such comments are very interesting and very inspiring, which are elements you would never find in this book. In particular, I am grateful to the review entitled Show Me the Cheese by Bruce Silveman. It is such a wonderful review which should be published by major newspapers like New York Times and Washington Post. And we can read here for free! This book is an attempt to trash our culture, to put everything valuable we inherited from the past in a dumpster and sell some real garbage as the latest invention of once in a life time.
