i just got this so i'll just tell you what i noticed so far.

1) the pages aren't all numbered. so you can find something in the index and not find the page. not sure what the rational is for this but it's not helpful. a few pages numbered, then nothing, then a few more numbered, again nothing and so on.

2) on page 23 (i assume) the following sentence appears:
"The first ten Amendments collectively are commonly known as the Bill of Rights. History"

i find this confusing. the word "History" is not part of a sentense, has no punctuation, and it is followed by nothing. the rest of the page is blank. this looks to me like an obvious misprint.

Arrived promptly and in good condition.
The book contains Newspaper articles of the period challenging the ratification of the proposed Constitution, along with debates intended to show weaknesses in it. Very valuable to the researcher into The Constitution, and the thoughts that went into it.

Excellent book, Mr Holbrook is very knowledgable on the subject matter. It is very educational, and can be hard to read at times, but once you get through all the leagleeze, it is great. One of the best books I've read on this subject, and I would highly recomend it to anybody interested in the second amendment, and what it REALLY stands for.

The areas that this book covers are generally covered well; however, I was hoping for a book that was much broader in scope. It really ought to be called "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Judicial Tyranny," as this is the area that the author focuses the most on.

He did do a good job covering judicial tyranny and explaining how the judicial branch has far exceeded the power the Founding Fathers intended it to have. He also provides an excellent overview of the history of the Constitution and the various conventions, which I learned a great deal from.

However, legislative and executive tyranny only receive brief mentions; he mentions, for example, some of Abraham Lincoln's more blatant violations of the Constitution and does ... Read More:

This is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to understand the U.S. Constitution, but especially for high school and college graduates who know they want to go into law as a vocation. My grandson, who just graduated from high school, was really pleased that I gave it to him, since he's planning to study Constitutional Law.

The book provided a side of an American culture that I was unaware of and frankly shocked to learn of. It wasn't a good shock either, the way in which our country treats the American Indians is appalling and actually disturbing. This is a book that should be read in history class, as its contents are not included in any history class I ever took.
